BTP Breakaway Faction Injured in Rajasthan and MP Election Results

The newly elected Rajasthan Assembly will see three MLAs from the three-month-old Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP), which has surpassed the six-year-old Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) based in Gujarat, launched by tribal leader Chhotu Vasava’s older son Mahesh.

Established in September, BAP has secured three Scheduled Tribes (ST) reserved seats in Chorasi, Aspur, and Dhariyawad in Rajasthan, as well as one seat in Sailana, Madhya Pradesh, in its first-ever Assembly polls. Chhotu’s younger son Dilip Vasava, who left BTP due to differences with his brother, is now the national vice-president of BAP.

As the party expands its goals, the Lok Sabha does not seem like a distant dream.
