Amit Shah and JP Nadda lay out BJP’s campaign plan during party gathering

A key BJP meeting, attended by Home Minister Amit Shah and party president J P Nadda, on Tuesday outlined the party’s campaign strategy for all 543 Lok Sabha seats.

The meeting highlighted the importance of targeting first-time voters, government scheme beneficiaries, OBCs, SCs, STs, youths and women. Nadda addressed over 300 party leaders, emphasizing the government’s welfare initiatives and the rise of India’s economy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He also mentioned the BJP’s goal to uplift the most deprived, in line with its founder Deen Dayal Upadhyaya’s motto of ‘antyodaya’.

Amit Shah urged party members to connect with influential personalities and leaders from different communities to be part of the “nationalist mainstream”. He also encouraged party leaders to promote the government’s successes and initiatives among the voters, including the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision and cultural nationalism, especially in light of the recent Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

Nadda stressed the party’s further expansion across the country and the need to gain seats in states where it had limited success in 2019. Party leaders also discussed plans for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and their outreach to voters through the “Gaon Chalein” campaign. Despite the recent passing of Shah’s sister, Rajeshwariben, the BJP’s top brass continues to strategize for the upcoming elections, confident in its ability to secure a third straight term for Modi’s leadership.

The BJP’s recent series of meetings has focused on drawing up the party’s strategy for the Lok Sabha elections, taking into account the favorable atmosphere, including the Ram temple consecration, recent assembly poll victories, and a general drift in the opposition camp.
