Sajjala Says CM Jagan Travelled to Delhi for the Sake of Andhra Pradesh

Vijayawada: Government adviser and YSRC general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy has criticized TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to form an alliance with the BJP, labeling him as an opportunistic individual “who can easily backtrack on his words to gain political advantages,” without feeling any regret.

Speaking to the media in Vijayawada on Thursday, he remarked, “Chandrababu would do anything to create an alliance. The TD chief is retracting his previous statements (against Modi) and is seeking a poll alliance with the BJP. This demonstrates the weakness of the TD-JS alliance and their lack of confidence in winning the elections independently.”

Regarding Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s visit to Delhi, Ramakrishna Reddy emphasized that it was to present the state’s requirements to the Centre.

When questioned about his views on the idea of fielding a TD candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections, Sajjala stated that it was unethical to consider nominating a candidate who lacked strength.

Ramakrishna Reddy stated, “The TD is currently struggling and its chief Chandrababu is seeking support from the same BJP leaders whom he has criticized vehemently in the past.”

“We are seeking votes by educating the voters about the welfare schemes implemented by the YSRC for the people over the past five years and highlighting the state’s development under the leadership of the Chief Minister,” he added.

Ramakrishan Reddy also mentioned the absence of the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh, indicating that its current chief, Y.S. Sharmila, was following the directions of the TD. “She is merely reciting a script written by Chandrababu Naidu and has no intention to work for the people of AP.”
