Akhilesh Yadav has joined forces with Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. This collaboration comes shortly after a seat-sharing agreement was reached for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
The leader of the Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav, has teamed up with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for the ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ in Agra. They were accompanied by Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as they waved to the crowd gathered for the yatra, with party workers of both SP and Congress showing their support through slogans.
In his speech at the event, Yadav criticized the government, stating, “Today, farmers are rallying against the government, showing their strength. The BJP will be ousted in the future, and the coalition government will give due respect to farmers.” He also highlighted that the BJP has not given proper recognition to marginalized communities like Dalits and minorities.
Additionally, senior Congress leader Pradeep Mathur of Uttar Pradesh was present at the event, where floral tributes were paid to a statue of B R Ambedkar in Agra.
Mathur expressed optimism about the impact of the joint yatra on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, stating, “Under the leadership of Rahulji, Priyankaji, and Akhileshji, we are poised to make a positive impact in the elections.” Mathur, a former Congress Legislature Party leader, emphasized the potential for a surprise outcome in the elections.
