In Android 15 Beta 2, there is a new collapsible volume panel that can be accessed by pressing the three-dot menu on the volume control screen. The expanded volume panel includes a persistent media output switcher and new animations. Android 15 has just released its latest version, Beta 2, allowing app developers and enthusiasts to test their apps on Pixel devices. Those who are okay with using an older build can also install Android 15 beta on other OEM devices. The revamped, collapsible volume panel in the latest Beta 2 update for Pixel devices marks a significant UI change.
Previously seen in Android 15 Developer Preview 2, the revamped volume panel is now standard in Beta 2 and can be accessed using the volume buttons on your phone. While the basic volume slider remains the same, the expanded volume panel accessed via the three-dot button is different. It features thicker, pill-shaped sliders that allow users to adjust volume by sliding or clicking to mute or maximize volume. The panel also collapses with a press of a button next to the media stream and includes a persistent media output shortcut along with new animations.
