JEE Main 2024: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main registration is currently open and will continue until November 30, 2023. The engineering entrance exam, JEE Main, will be held in two phases. The first phase is scheduled from January 24 to February 1, 2024, and the second phase will take place between April 1 and April 15.
The NTA has made some changes in JEE Main 2024, from altering the official website address to the syllabus. Here are the changes in the engineering entrance exam:
JEE Main New Website
The NTA has changed the host website address of JEE Main 2024 to jeemain.nta.ac.in. Previously, it was jeemain.nta.nic.in. The new website also has a chatbox for assisting the students.
The new JEE Main website will provide all information including JEE Main dates, notification, admit cards, and results.
Registration through ABC, DigiLocker
During JEE Main 2024 registration, the candidate has to create a Digi Locker account through the NAD portal or an Academic Bank of Credits ID (ABC ID). Those candidates who do not wish to register through Digi Locker/ABC ID will be required to report one hour prior to the entry time at the examination center on the day of the examination.

Candidates can also use their passport number, PAN Card number, or Aadhaar enrollment number to register for JEE Main. However, registering with these would require them to reach the exam center early.
Number Of Exam Cities
The number of JEE Main 2024 exam cities in India has decreased to 300 from 304 exam center cities last year.
JEE Main 2024 Syllabus
The JEE Main 2024 syllabus has been revised this year. Some chapters have been completely removed from this year’s JEE Main syllabus, and a few sub-topics have been removed.
JEE Main Application Fee
The NTA has also decreased the JEE Main application fee. The application fee for male candidates belonging to the General-EWS and OBC NCL categories is now Rs 900.
