The Oval Maidan in Mumbai is an iconic venue for sports lovers and architecture enthusiasts. The recreational ground, spanning 22 acres, is flanked by heritage buildings such as the Rajabhai Clock Tower, the Bombay High Court and Art Deco buildings in a variety of colours.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan, who is currently in India covering the ICC World Cup 2023, went for a morning walk to the Oval Maidan where he saw many youngsters playing cricket.
Vaughan posted a video on X, formerly Twitter, showing boys playing cricket. He also commented on the proceedings as he said, “Here we are down the Oval Maidan. Good bowler, this chap, nice runup.” As the batter missed the shot, he praised the bowler for his pace and carry through.

The 49-year-old said they were all happy and friendly and they adore the game. Then in the next ball, the bowler was able to take a wicket as a fielder caught the ball.
