Aamir Khan‘s house in Bandra has been lit up ahead of his and his former wife, Reena Dutta’s daughter Ira Khan‘s wedding. Ira is all set to tie the knot with her fiance Nupur Shikhare on Wednesday, January 3. The wedding prep at the Khan-Shikhare residences are in full swing. Paparazzi captured pictures of their house being lit up with fairy lights.
Aamir’s first wife Reena’s house was also decked up with flowers and lights as pre-wedding festivities have begun.
Ira has been sharing glimpses from her wedding preparations on Instagram. The 27-year-old had recently shared glimpses from her Maharashtrian Kelvan ceremony where she was seen gorging on a Maharashtrian meal on a banana leaf along with Nupur, Kiran Rao and Azad Rao Khan and Mithila Palkar.
Ira and Nupur will reportedly have a Maharashtrian style wedding on Wednesday morning. Ira had given a peek into her wedding invites, which included customised puzzles and a head massager.
Aamir had recently opened up about Ira wedding. In an interview with News18, he had said, “Main toh bada emotional hota hoon bhai, uss din main bahut rone waala hoon yeh toh tay hai. (I’m extremely emotional, and I’m going to cry a lot at Ira’s wedding, that’s for sure). Discussions have already begun in the family that ‘Aamir ko sambaalna uss din (take care of Aamir that day)’ because I am very emotional. I can’t control my smile nor my tears.”
