Guwahati, Feb 26: Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi criticized the BJP for utilizing the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Income Tax (IT) Department, and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to target the Opposition leaders.
Speaking to the media, Gaurav Gogoi mentioned that Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has organized the “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra” and has assured that there is a strong opposition to the BJP.
“Rahul Gandhi has been fulfilling his role as an opposition leader, and the BJP is well aware of this, using entities like the CBI and IT to go after opposition leaders and impede their work,” Gogoi explained.
As the election day approaches, both BJP and Congress continue to trade accusations.
The internal conflicts within the Congress leadership are a matter of concern for the Assam Congress.
The Assam Congress faced another setback when senior leader Rana Goswami resigned from the position of organisational in-charge of Upper Assam.
