Bandi calls on government to support farmers affected by crop losses

In Hyderabad, BJP National General Secretary and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay expressed his concern regarding the farmers. He called on the government to take swift action to assist farmers who have suffered losses due to unexpected rains. Sanjay stressed the importance of immediate aid for farmers who had taken loans and planted their crops, only to have them damaged by unforeseen downpours.

Sanjay highlighted that over the past ten years, not a single farmer has received compensation for crop damage. He demanded that each affected farmer be given Rs.25,000 per acre in compensation and immediate forgiveness of loans up to two lakhs. He also urged for the implementation of crop insurance to protect farmers from such losses in the future. Sanjay emphasized that farmers should not be neglected or mistreated, especially during the election season.

This has worsened the challenges faced by farmers who are already grappling with weather-related issues. Sanjay’s statements underscore the urgent need for government assistance to address the plight of these farmers and safeguard their livelihoods.
