Bihar politics LIVE: Nitish Kumar is expected to tender his resignation from the Bihar Chief Minister’s post on Sunday, sources were quoted by a report as saying. The statement came amid speculation that Bihar CM and JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar may exit the 28-party Opposition bloc formed to take on the BJP-led Central government.
Amid the “confusion” over Nitish Kumar’s stance, the Congress said it is hopeful and that party chief Mallikarjun Kharge is “trying to speak with the Bihar chief minister”. Meanwhile, sources told ANI that during the RJD leaders’ meet, Tejashwi Yadav had hinted at many unexpected developments in the state.

Amid the political turmoil in Bihar, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP chief JP Nadda on Saturday. Paswan said he kept “his concerns over Bihar” before the BJP leaders in the meeting held at the residence of Amit Shah.
Several reports claimed that the LJP has a fear of being ‘sidelined’ after the possible entry of the JDU in the NDA alliance. Notably, Chirag Paswan and Nitish Kumar have slammed each other in the past.
“It was important to know what is happening in Bihar today. On this issue, I held a meeting with Amit Shah and JP Nadda ji today. I have kept my concerns before them over Bihar.
