Khammam: BJPLP leader and Nirmal MLA Aelti Maheshwar Reddy on Monday alleged that the BRS government failed to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Telangana and misused lakhs of crores of money in the name of irrigation projects. He participated in the BJP Vijay Sankalp Yatra at Sathupalli.
Speaking to the media in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Maheshwar Reddy said in the past, Khammam district was a stronghold of the Left parties and later it became Congress’s stronghold, and now the BJP is making strides to gain control over the district.
He alleged that the people of Khammam elected Congress MLAs in the majority of the seats, but now the Congress government is betraying the people with false promises.
The MLA stated that the BJP will continue to fight until the Congress government orders a CBI inquiry into the irregularities in the Kaleshwaram project, presents the facts to the people, and takes action against the culprits. He also alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has changed his stance on ordering a CBI probe on the KLIS project. According to Maheshwar Reddy, the people of Khammam will teach a lesson to the Congress and BRS in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
