BJP’s optimism in securing victory in 12 Lok Sabha seats in Assam

Guwahati, Feb 28: Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed confidence in winning 11 out of 14 Lok Sabha seats, but emphasized their efforts to secure the 12th seat in the state.

During a conversation with reporters, CM Sarma stated, “We are aiming to secure victory in 11 out of 14 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha election. However, we will strive to win the 12th seat in the state,”.

Sarma mentioned that ticket aspirants will submit their applications to BJP observers, and the list will be forwarded to Delhi for initial discussions on the potential list of candidates.

“We prefer a swift process to avoid prolonged candidature lobbying,” Sarma clarified.

Sarma added, “I am more concerned about people voting for Prime Minister Narendra Modi rather than the candidates’ names.”
