Britney Spears Reveals Shocking Revelation: I Had an Abortion During Relationship with Justin Timberlake

Britney Spears has made an explosive revelation in her upcoming memoir, “The Woman in Me.” The superstar musician discloses that during her teenage years while dating singer Justin Timberlake, she became pregnant with his baby. However, she chose to have an abortion and did not carry the pregnancy to term. An excerpt from the book, published by People Magazine, shares Spears’ perspective on the situation. Despite the surprise, she explains that it wasn’t a tragedy for her, as she loved Justin deeply and had always anticipated starting a family with him someday, just not so soon. However, Timberlake was not pleased about the pregnancy, expressing that they were too young and unprepared for parenthood.

Spears and Timberlake first crossed paths as cast members on the Mickey Mouse Club in the early 1990s. They began a romantic relationship in 1999, becoming one of the most highly-publicized couples of that era before parting ways in 2002. Timberlake later released a song titled “Cry Me a River,” implying that Spears had cheated on him and broken his heart. He is currently married to Jessica Biel, with whom he has two children. Spears, on the other hand, shares two sons, Sean and Jayden, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. She recently married Sam Asghari in June 2022 after dating him for five years, but unfortunately, their marriage ended in divorce in August, lasting only 14 months.

While Timberlake has not yet responded to this revelation about the abortion, Spears explains in her memoir that she had wanted to become a mother at the time, and if the decision had been solely up to her, she would not have terminated the pregnancy. However, Timberlake was adamant about not becoming a father. Reflecting on the experience, Spears describes it as one of the most agonizing moments of her life.

Spears’ highly-anticipated memoir is set to be released on October 24 by Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Initially, it was believed the book would primarily focus on her immediate family and the contentious relationship with her father, Jamie, who held her under conservatorship for 13 years. However, it seems that the memoir will delve into various aspects of her closely scrutinized life. Promising an inside look into her incredible journey and strength as one of the greatest performers in pop music history, the memoir aims to highlight the enduring power of music, love, and the importance of a woman sharing her story on her own terms.
