ADILABAD: The preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Adilabad on March 4 are in full swing. Assembly constituency-level committees have been formed and in-charges appointed to oversee the arrangements. State-level BJP leaders will be camping in Adilabad until the meeting is over.
Party leaders are working to mobilise a large number of people from the erstwhile Adilabad district for the event.
The Indira Priya Darshini stadium ground in Adilabad town has been chosen as the venue for the official events and party programmes. Each mandal has been given specific targets for public mobilizations for the PM’s programme.
Sources within the party mentioned that an invitation will be extended to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to attend the PM’s programme in Adilabad.
Adilabad MLA Payal Shankar, while briefing about the PM’s visit, expressed the people’s anticipation for potential announcements of developmental projects for the district and resolution of pending issues. He added, “The PM may announce the sanction of a textile park in Adilabad, considering its history as the biggest cotton ginning and pressing market in Asia. The textile parks were relocated to other places due to the negligence of the previous government.”
