Hyderabad: Former Karnataka CM and influential Lingayat leader, Jagadish Shettar, has returned to the BJP after nearly nine months of expressing disappointment over his treatment by the party.
Following this development, senior Congress leader and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar dismissed any concerns about the party’s stability due to Shettar’s departure.
“Congress has a long history. No one can destabilise the Congress. It is like an ocean. Hundreds of Shettars or Shivakumars cannot destabilise Congress.”
