During the 110th edition of ‘Mann ki Baat’, PM Modi highlights the rising heights of Nari Shakti.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his 110th edition of the monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann ki Baat,’ highlighted the progress of women’s power in various fields in the country. He emphasized that on March 8, International Women’s Day, it is essential to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of women to the nation’s development.

PM Modi mentioned that women are excelling in natural farming, water conservation, and cleanliness, showcasing their leadership capabilities. He emphasized the importance of providing equal opportunities to women to ensure overall progress and prosperity. The Prime Minister also praised the ‘NAMO Drone Didi’ scheme, which has empowered women in rural areas by providing them with drones for various services.

Launched last year, the Namo Drone Didi initiative aims to empower women working in the agriculture sector with drone technology. Through the Pradhan Mantri Mahila Kisan Drone Kendras initiative, women in self-help groups are trained in drone operation and maintenance to offer rental services to farmers. PM Modi also interacted with a beneficiary of the scheme, Sunita Devi, during the radio broadcast.

Mann Ki Baat, initiated in 2014, serves as a platform for PM Modi to communicate with diverse segments of society, including women, the elderly, and youth. The program broadcasts information about government initiatives, policies, and schemes in various Indian languages and reaches audiences globally in foreign languages like French, Chinese, and Arabic.
