During the BJP rule, 28 murders occurred in Kalaburagi: Priyank Kharge

Kalaburagi: Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge has strongly responded to the comments made by MP Dr. Umesh G Jadhav regarding the law and order situation in Kalaburagi district.

Kharge dismissed Jadhav’s claims and pointed out that during the BJP’s time in power, the district saw 28 murders.

“Jadhav claims that since I took office, there have been 13 murders in the district, suggesting a deterioration in law and order. However, many of the suspects are people known to him. Who was responsible for the incident where a tractor was driven at government officials in Afzalpur Taluk?” he questioned.

Comparing the situation, Kharge mentioned incidents from Gujarat where 2,209 rapes occurred in a year, including 36 gang-rapes, attributing this to a breakdown in law and order.

“During the BJP’s rule, ABVP activists blocked the vehicle of a Union Minister and the state BJP president, indicating lawlessness. Clashes over Aland Dargah took place under the BJP’s leadership, showing a collapse in law and order. We have worked diligently to prevent such incidents,” he stated.

“The BJP is facing difficulties due to our government’s crackdown on criminal elements,” he added.

He challenged Jadhav to outline his achievements as an MP, mentioning setbacks like stalled projects in the railway sector, NIMZ, and textile park.
