A desperate search has been launched for a fisherman after he went missing off the Sunshine Coast.
The man, aged in his 40s, set out from Mooloolaba when his family reported him missing on Sunday after he failed to return home.
His boat was found near the northern tip of Moreton Island on Monday morning – about 100km away from where he had set off.

The man had been on a solo fishing trip before he vanished.
Queensland Police have launched a search mission.
‘The man has not been located and a water and aerial search is continuing,’ a spokesperson said.
