Mizoram Assembly Elections result 2023:
Following the Mizoram legislative election, the ZPM secured 27 seats out of 40, overthrowing the MNF. The MNF, led by Zoramthanga, lost ten seats. The BJP secured two seats out of the 23 it contested, while the Congress managed just one seat. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which ran for four seats, did not win any. This election marked the first time that the AAP participated in the state’s elections.
The Election Commission of India announced the results of the Mizoram Assembly elections, with only three female candidates emerging victorious- ZPM’s Baryl Vanneihsangi and Lalrinpuii from Aizawl South-III and Lunglei East constituencies respectively, along with MNF candidate Prova Chakma.
