Ghaziabad Lok Sabha Constituency: A BJP Stronghold Since 2008

Currently, the Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency comprises of five Vidhan Sabha seats – Loni, Muradnagar, Sahibabad & Ghaziabad within Ghaziabad district, and Dholana within Hapur district.

Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh, India, established in 2008 and having witnessed three general elections so far. It consists of Loni, Muradnagar, Sahibabad & Ghaziabad in Ghaziabad district, and Dholana in Hapur district.

The Lok Sabha elections 2024 for Ghaziabad constituency are scheduled for the second phase on April 26, 2024. 

Historically, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has held this seat from 2009 to 2019. Rajnath Singh won in 2009 with 359,637 votes, while General Vijay Kumar Singh was victorious in 2014 and 2019 with 7,58,482 and 944,503 votes respectively. 

Ghaziabad district has 2 Lok Sabha constituencies – Ghaziabad and Baghpat. In 2019, there were 26,73,147 voters in Ghaziabad district, with an increase of 265698 voters in the last 5 years. 

For the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the total number of voters in Ghaziabad district has reached 29,38,845, with 13,15,782 female voters and 16,22,869 male voters.
