A police official said the woman had come from Mumbai, while the accused was from Delhi. The incident took place on October 12 in a resort room, the police said.
“Both run a business of importing computers. In her complaint, the woman alleged the accused had pushed her on the bed and forcibly kissed her. He tried to undress her before she ran out of the room to the resort lobby and sought help. She lodged a police complaint later, the police added.
Nidhin Valsan, SP North, said a case was filed under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) of the Indian Penal Code. “The woman’s statement is yet to be recorded before a magistrate,” said an officer. “A notice has been issued to the accused under section 41A of the CrPC,” the SP said.
