Google is getting ready to enhance the organization of the Settings app in Android 15

Google is working on revamping the Settings app in Android 15 to make it more organized and easier to navigate. The top-level settings page will be organized into visually distinct sections, making it easier to find the submenu you’re looking for. While the changes are not visible in the latest Beta 3 release, a future update might bring the reorganized top-level settings page.

In the current Android 14 settings layout, menu items are not organized in a particular order, making it challenging for new users to navigate. With Android 15, similar menu items will be grouped together in visually distinct sections, improving the overall organization of the settings page.

The upcoming Android 15 top-level settings page will feature a new layout that places menu items in logical groupings. Some entries from Android 14 may not appear in the new layout due to changes in the preference screen XML file. For example, “Google” and “Digital Wellbeing & parental controls” are missing from the upcoming Android 15 layout.

In addition to the top-level settings revamp, Android 15 Beta 3 also includes minor changes to the Settings app, such as renaming certain entries and updating descriptions for toggles. The update indicates that Google is continually refining the settings experience for users.

Overall, the changes in Android 15 Beta 3 suggest that Google is focused on improving the organization and user experience of the Settings app. Stay tuned for more updates on Android 15 and its new features.
