Haunted House Experience: Living in the Real-Life Inspiration Behind The Conjuring – Beware of Haunting Entities… Basement Explorations Require Company

Madison Heinzen, the caretaker of the infamous Rhode Island farmhouse that served as inspiration for The Conjuring movie, has shared her spine-chilling experiences living in the haunted house. Despite the creepy encounters, she continues to sleep there regularly. Madison, now the leader of ghost tours at the farmhouse, has recounted some of her scariest moments, including hearing strange growls and witnessing shadow figures. She recalls being freaked out by a growl above her head when exploring the house with her family. Another eerie incident occurred during an interview when she heard two claps, similar to the ones featured in the movie’s hide and clap scene. Madison also avoids going to the basement alone as it is a known hotspot for ghostly activity. She has seen a ball roll off on its own and shadowy figures resembling Slenderman inside the house. Despite being spooked, Madison focuses on the unbelievable nature of these encounters. She uses dowsing rods and spirit boxes during her ghost tours to detect paranormal activity, and claims to have heard spirits communicate and laugh. The cause of the haunting at the Conjuring house is unclear, although it is speculated to be related to Native American grounds where wars have taken place. Previous residents have reported strange occurrences, and the house is equipped with plants designed to ward off evil spirits. Madison’s interest in the supernatural began at a young age, thanks to her parents who were paranormal investigators. She advises caution when attempting to contact the dead, as they can “play tricks” and contacting them without professional guidance can be dangerous. Despite her unusual hobby, Madison recently got married to her supportive partner Jacob.
