Samajwadi Party has confirmed offering 17 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh to the Congress.
INDIA bloc partners Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) have finalized seat-sharing in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. Congress will be contesting from 17 seats in Uttar Pradesh, which has a total of 80 Lok Sabha seats. The remaining 63 seats in the state will be contested by SP and other alliance partners.
The SP and the Congress are part of the INDIA bloc, which was formed by opposition parties to challenge the BJP in the upcoming general elections. The 17 seats that the Congress will contest in UP include Raebareli, Amethi, and Varanasi, which is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency.

- Fatehpur Sikri
- Saharanpur
- Prayagraj
- Maharajganj
- Varanasi
- Amroha
- Jhansi
- Bulandshahr
- Ghaziabad
- Mathura
- Sitapur
- Barabanki
- Kanpur
- Bansgaon
- Deoria
The announcement of seat-sharing was made at a joint press conference by SP state chief Naresh Uttam Patel, SP national general secretary Rajendra Chaudhary, Congress state president Ajay Rai, and AICC in-charge of UP Avinash Pande.
