Close to a year ago, there were talks about the Marvel Cinematic Universe gaining a new star in Jonathan Majors. After his work on Loki‘s first season and in Ant Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, it seemed like his character would be the next big villain in various projects. However, last spring, Majors was arrested for alleged assault and battery of his then-girlfriend. She has recently broken her silence and described abuse and manipulation in court, and she is not the only ex of his who is willing to speak out.
Grace Jabbari testified in court that she felt “scared” of Jonathan Majors during their relationship. She recalled him flying into “violent” rages and systematically manipulating her. They began dating in August 2021 after meeting on the set of Marvel’s Ant Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Jabbari revealed an incident where Majors furiously berated her for mentioning her ex’s pet, which was a turning point for her. She also testified about being confronted by Majors and how he would apologize and make promises afterwards. Jabbari described incidents where Majors would threaten suicide and force her to reassure him.
Majors’ voice recording demanding Jabbari to emulate Michelle Obama was presented in court as evidence. He faces charges of assault and aggravated harassment and his defense team has attempted to portray Jabbari as a “psycho” girlfriend. However, with other exes cooperating with the DA’s office, it is possible that other charges could follow. Jonathan Majors’ trial is still ongoing, but a conviction could mean he faces up to a year in prison.
