Jussie Smollett is currently seeking treatment at an outpatient rehab facility, as revealed by a representative for the 41-year-old actor. The nature of Smollett’s treatment remains undisclosed at this time. Meanwhile, he continues to appeal his criminal case in Chicago. The former Empire star was found guilty of five counts of felony disorderly conduct for falsely reporting a hate crime in 2019. His sentencing included 150 days in prison, a restitution payment of $120,106 to the city of Chicago, and a $25,000 fine.

In a surprising turn of events, Smollett was released after spending just six days behind bars, allowing him to work on personal projects while the legal process unfolds. Now, it seems that Smollett has entered rehab to seek additional support.
