Krushna Abhishek is gaining popularity for his comedic performances and is set to appear alongside Kapil Sharma in the upcoming Netflix show The Great Indian Kapil Show. However, in a recent interview, Krushna opened up about his initial entry into the comedy genre. His comedic journey began with Sudesh Lehri on Sony TV’s Comedy Circus, where he revealed that he had never done comedy on stage before.
During a conversation on Bharti TV, Krushna admitted that he had no prior experience in comedy or theater. He first rose to fame in the television industry due to his participation in Nach Baliye with his wife, Kashmera Shah. Krushna confessed that his primary motivation for joining Comedy Circus in 2007 was money. He mentioned, “I signed Comedy Circus purely for monetary reasons. I was content with the payment of Rs 1.5 lakh per episode.” Krushna disclosed that they filmed two episodes per day, allowing him to earn Rs 3 lakh in a day.
Krushna Abhishek shared that his association with the show was largely influenced by his connection to Govinda as his nephew. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunities he received as Govinda’s relative. Krushna reminisced about the time when he and Sudesh won 4 seasons of the show, leaving a lasting impression with their comedic acts.

Krushna reflected on his past work in Bhojpuri films, where he earned Rs 3 lakh per film and had to dedicate 30 days for shooting to earn that amount. He has continued to showcase his comedic talent on various television shows and recently appeared as Sapna Didi on Kapil’s show on Sony TV.
