KTR reports that KCR requires an additional 6 weeks for recovery.

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao underwent hip replacement surgery after an accidental fall in his Erravelli farmhouse on December 7. His complete recovery is expected to take another 4 to 6 weeks.

According to the party’s working president K.T. Rama Rao, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao will be active and return to the party office in 4-6 weeks. In the meantime, he is communicating with party leaders and giving instructions over the phone as needed.

Mr. Rama Rao also mentioned that the selection of BRS candidates for the Lok Sabha elections will involve consulting leaders of the constituencies. The party is optimistic about performing well in both the Lok Sabha and local bodies elections, as the public understands the importance of BRS’s voice for the interests of Telangana locally and in Delhi.

Highlighting the necessity of BRS representation in the Lok Sabha for the interests of Telangana, Mr. Rama Rao emphasized that both the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have repeatedly shown a lack of special interest in the state, citing examples such as the transfer of seven mandals from combined Khammam district and the denial of various projects and resources.

Mr. Rama Rao also expressed concern about the praise of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy by BJP MP Bandi Sanjay, suggesting a potential understanding between the two parties, as observed in previous elections and by-elections.
