KYIV suffers hellish night as Russia launches massive missile attack
The city of KYIV was subjected to a terrible night when Russia launched a huge missile attack, resulting in 53 people being injured. Ukraine’s air defences were able to down ten strikes, which are believed to have been powerful Russian Iskander missiles. However, damage was caused by falling rocket debris.
A children’s hospital and an apartment building were damaged in the attack, and 53 people, including six children, were injured. In addition, the Odesa region saw the destruction of ten incoming Shahed kamikaze drones, which were launched by Russia from annexed Crimea.
Separately, footage showed that Russia had put its flag over the ruins of Maryinka, a hotly-disputed town in the Donetsk region, as it makes gains on the frontline. Furthermore, a leading Putin propagandist called on Ukrainian troops to surrender to resurgent Russians.
As a result of the heavy bombardment of Kyiv, twenty people were hospitalized, including two children. The military administration in the Ukrainian capital reported that the city had faced the second high-speed missile attack in the last two days.
Mayor Vitali Kitschko stated that there was damage to a children’s hospital and a residential building, with residents being evacuated. In total, 53 people were injured, with 20 hospitalized and six children receiving medical assistance.
Buoyed by Russian gains, Putin propagandist Margarita Simonyan called on Ukrainian troops to surrender, alleging provocatively that they did not want to fight. Elsewhere, footage showed Russian paratroopers destroying two Ukrainian tanks and a self-propelled gun in the Klishchiivka area.
President Joe Biden promised Ukraine $200 million in military help, but new support in Congress remains uncertain. Zelensky responded to questions about ceding territory to Putin, stating that Ukraine has been defending its freedom in a full-scale war and will not be defeated.
