The victim had a dispute with her neighbours after she allegedly urinated near their house
In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur, a woman was hit on her private parts with an iron rod by her neighbours for allegedly urinating near their house, police said on Sunday. The victim sustained severe injuries in the attack and fainted. The incident took place in a village in Ram Chandra Mission police station area in Shahjahanpur.
According to Circle Officer BS Veer Kumar, the victim had a dispute with her neighbours after she allegedly urinated near their house. The scuffle turned violent when the neighbours her private parts with an iron rod after which she fainted. The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to an NDTV report, an FIR has been registered under the relevant section of IPC in the case and an investigation is underway.
Last month, a 32-year-old woman cut her neighbour’s genitals using a knife following an argument with him in Kaushambi district’s Sharifpur village.
The incident came to light when the 26-year-old man’s father lodged an FIR at Manjhanpur police station against the woman under sections 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapon) and 308 (culpable homicide) of IPC, a TOI report mentioned.
In October 2023, a 30-year-old woman in Bengaluru was thrashed by her neighbours after she advised them to not waste water collected from the public tap.
The incident took place in Narayan Rao Colony near Sriramapura. According to a TOI report, the victim, identified as Bhanupriya, told police that she was punched, kicked and hit with a cricket bat by a group of 10 people.
