Nilesh Rane withdraws decision to quit politics after meeting Fadnavis | Mumbai News

A day after announcing retirement from active politics, former MP Nilesh Rane withdrew his decision after meeting Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, BJP’s minister Ravindra Chavan met Nilesh Rane at his residence in Mumbai. The two held discussions for more than two hours. Later Chavan and Nilesh Rane went to Fadnavis’s bungalow, Sagar.

Chavan told media, “After discussions with Fadnavis, Nilesh Rane has agreed to withdraw his decision to step down from politics.”

The eldest son of Union minister Narayan Rane was unhappy for being side-lined in BJP. His grievance according to party insiders was systematic side-lining of his followers even at gram panchayat level.

Fadnavis, after giving audience to Nilesh Rane, told him to dedicate his time for organisation. He was told to continue working and senior leadership of BJP was in know of every development and would take note.

Festive offer

Nilesh Rane was also categorically told not to take his grievances in public. Instead, he should bring it to party forum. With 2024 Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in the vicinity, any dispute within organisation at any level does not auger well for party.
