In the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a simple message to his ministers ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections: “Go, win. I will see you soon”. According to sources, PM Modi urged ministers to be cautious when interacting with people, especially during election times.
During the meeting, PM Modi along with the Council of Ministers discussed the vision document ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ and outlined a detailed action plan for the next five years, as per Government of India sources.
In his address to the ministers, PM Modi advised them to steer clear of controversies and be wary of deepfakes. He emphasized the importance of sticking to discussing government schemes and avoiding controversial statements.
An immediate 100-day agenda for post-election implementation was also outlined during the meeting, aiming for swift action after the formation of the new government in May 2024.
The roadmap for ‘Viksit Bharat’ has been in the works for over 2 years and involved consultations with various stakeholders, including ministries, state governments, academia, industry bodies, and youth groups for their input and suggestions.
Through numerous meetings and consultations, the roadmap for ‘Viksit Bharat’ has been meticulously crafted with a national vision, goals, and action points covering areas like economic growth, infrastructure, social welfare, and more.
The meeting holds significance as the ruling National Democratic Alliance led by the BJP aims to retain power for a third term, with the Election Commission expected to announce the poll schedule soon.
