PM Modi’s strong response to TMC on Sandeshkhali issue: ‘Every wound will be answered…’

Prime Minister Modi criticized TMC for its handling of the Sandeshkhali issue during a public rally in Arambagh, West Bengal. He called on the people to respond by voting for the pain they have endured.

Launching the BJP’s election campaign in Mamata Banerjee’s territory ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the TMC government is obstructing the empowerment of the poor, farmers, youth, and women.

PM Modi targeted TMC during a rally in Arambagh, urging the voters to answer with their votes to the suffering they have experienced.

“Every pain must be answered with a vote. Today, the people of West Bengal are asking their CM ‘Didi’ – is the vote of a few more important than the atrocities committed against women in Sandeshkhali? All the prominent leaders of the INDI alliance remained silent on the Sandeshkhali incident. They were like the three monkeys of Gandhiji…The Congress chief said, ‘Forget about it, this sort of thing happens in Bengal all the time’,” PM Modi stated.

He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the poor, youth, farmers, and women, following the mantra of ‘GYAN’.

On the same day, the Prime Minister also addressed a public rally in Hooghly, West Bengal.

“Our goal is to make the country ‘developed’ by 2047. The government’s priorities are the poor, youth, farmers, and women,” he declared.

“We have consistently taken steps for the welfare of the poor, which the world has witnessed. In the last decade, 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty. This demonstrates the government’s commitment to fair policies and decisions. The key reason is the government’s pure intentions,” PM Modi added.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister highlighted the inauguration and foundation-laying of various projects related to railways, ports, petroleum, and ‘Jal Shakti’.

“Today, we have inaugurated and laid the foundation for projects worth over 7,000 crore in West Bengal. These projects include railways, ports, petroleum, and ‘Jal Shakti’,” PM Modi revealed.

He stressed the government’s aim of modernizing railway facilities in West Bengal, in line with the progress in other parts of the country.

“India has demonstrated how development can coexist with the environment. From Haldia to Barauni, a crude oil pipeline spanning over 500 kilometers is a prime example. Today, a sewage treatment plant is being launched to reduce pollution in the Hugli River,” he explained.

The Prime Minister also mentioned a budget allocation of over Rs 13,000 crores for railway development in West Bengal.

“This year, the central government has allocated a budget of over Rs 13,000 crore for railway development in West Bengal – three times more than the previous allocation before 2014,” PM Modi stated.

He reflected on the BJP’s tenure over the past 10 years, highlighting the completion of several pending projects, electrification of over 3,000 km of railway tracks, redevelopment of more than 100 railway stations, and the introduction of five new Vande Bharat Express trains.
