Ranbir Kapoor contacted Sandeep Reddy Vanga after Arjun Reddy but filmmaker missed his message: ‘I didn’t read any messages, even Anil Kapoor…’ | Bollywood News

Actor Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s maiden collaboration, Animal has earned big at the box office. While they might have come together now, Ranbir was familiar with the director’s work since his debut directorial, Arjun Reddy. In fact, the actor had even texted him after the release of the Telugu drama but since it was an SMS, the filmmaker missed it.

In an interview with Dainik Bhasker, Sandeep said that he had lost the habit of checking his text messages because maximum communication would happen on WhatsApp.

“He (Ranbir Kapoor) SMSed me. Ever since WhatsApp has come, the habit of checking SMS has gone. I stopped checking SMS because everyone uses WhatsApp. Ranbir actually showed me the message also I think. Like this, I have missed a lot of people’s messages. Anil ji, Anil Kapoor had also messaged.”

He added, “Some messages I never read because so many messages keep coming from bank, Facebook, and all these.”

When asked if the director-actor had come in contact back then, were there chances of Ranbir being part of Arjun Reddy’s Hindi remake Kabir Singh in 2019?
