The makers of Animal released the film’s trailer amid much fanfare at Delhi’s PVR Cinema in Connaught Place. The film’s lead actors Ranbir Kapoor, Booby Deol and Rashmika Mandanna were seen dressed in black attires as they attended the event. The film’s director Sandeep Reddy Vanga was also at the trailer launch. During the trailer launch, both Ranbir and Bobby spoke about their fathers, Rishi Kapoor and Dharmendra. While Bobby praised his father’s performance in his recent film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Ranbir remembered his late father while shooting for the film.
Speaking about the late legendary actor Rishi Kapoor, Ranbir said, “Whenever I used to meet Sandeep, I used to ask him to give me a reference for my character. I have never felt things like this and subconsciously I remembered my father. I think the way he used to talk, he was a very passionate, aggressive man. So I have tried to take that from my father.”
Bobby also spoke about his father and veteran actor Dharmendra. Speaking about his performance in Rocky Aur Rani, he said, “Papa ne jo kaam kiya hai Rocky rani ne voh role koi aur nahi kar sakta tha. Gadar ne toh gadar macha diya. (Nobody can do the work, dad has done in Rocky Aur Rani. Gadar has been extremely successful).
In the Karan Johar directorial, Dharmendra played the role of Ranveer Singh’s grandfather. Dharmendra’s character, however, became a topic of discussion as his lip-lock scene with Shabana Azmi surprised everyone.
The Animal trailer unveils Ranbir as the scion of a business empire, embarking on a violent vengeance quest after his father’s harrowing attack.
Vanga, renowned for his Telugu film Arjun Reddy, featuring Vijay Deverakonda, gained acclaim. He remade the film in Hindi as Kabir Singh, starring Shahid Kapoor. Both films were commercial successes but faced criticism for glorifying toxic masculinity.

Animal appears to bear the signature Vanga touch. The film is slated for release on December 1.
