With less than five months left for the worldwide release of Pushpa 2: The Rule, featuring Allu Arjun’s return as the iconic Pushpa Raj, filming for the period actioner is in full swing. Helmed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the most anticipated Indian films of the year and serves as a direct sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, which also earned Arjun his first National Film Award for Best Actor.
Now, a new picture from the set of the upcoming movie has emerged online, sure to excite fans. The image features actor Rashmika Mandanna, who portrays the female lead, emanating elegance and charm as her character Srivalli, the wife of Pushpa Raj.
In the photo, Rashmika can be seen dressed in a red and golden saree as she strides towards the shooting location, accompanied by her team. She is adorned with traditional jewellery and flowers on her head.
Meanwhile, Rashmika also shared a picture on her social media handle showcasing the beautiful locale of the Yaganti temple in Andhra Pradesh where certain portions of the film were shot recently. “Done for the dayyyyyy!!!! Today we shot at this temple called Yaganti temple. The history of this place is amazing.. And the love… the people… the place… and something about spending time in a temple feels so amazing,” she noted.

Rashmika Mandanna shared a picture on Instagram showcasing the beautiful locale of the Yaganti temple in Andhra Pradesh where certain portions of the film were shot recently.
During a recent interview with
Pinkvilla, Mandanna expressed her confidence that Pushpa 2 will be ‘massive’. She revealed, “One thing I am going to promise is that it’s going to be massive. We are halfway through. We were just shooting a massive song sequence and when I will go back, I will be shooting another song. My role in Pushpa 2 is that now she has become the wife and with becoming the wife of Pushpa, there are still some responsibilities to carry. In Pushpa 2, there is a lot more drama and bigger conflicts that we are facing as characters. It’s going to be a lot more masala in part 2,” she added.
Also starring Fahadh Faasil, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Sunil, Rao Ramesh, and Dhananjaya in key roles, Pushpa 2: The Rule will hit the screens on August 15, 2024.
Meanwhile, during an earlier interview with Variety, Arjun had revealed plans for a third instalment in the franchise. “You can definitely expect part three, we do want to make it a franchise and we have exciting ideas for the lineup”.
Arjun also teased insights into the forthcoming second part, stating, “Pushpa 2 is going to have a very different shade of Pushpa than what you’ve seen in Pushpa 1, because it is the lower end of the spectrum that you’ve seen.”
