Reunited Elephant Calf Cuddles Up to Mother in Heartwarming Rescue After Being Separated from Herd

An elephant calf that had become separated from its herd was reunited with its mother at a wildlife park in India. The months-old infant was found by park staff and was eventually led back to its herd, located two miles away in Pollachi, India, using drones. In another heartwarming story from November last year, a chartered jet was used to rescue a ten-month-old elephant named Bupe, who was abandoned by his mother for five days in the wilderness. Bupe was airlifted to safety and taken to a wildlife education trust nursery in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia, where efforts are being made to bring him back to health and eventually release him back into the wild.
