PM Rishi Sunak has arrived in Israel for a two-day trip amidst concerns of escalating conflict in Gaza. He will meet with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog. The visit follows US President Joe Biden’s recent trip to show support. Sunak plans to visit other regional capitals to prevent further tensions. He will express condolences for the casualties in Israel and Gaza and advocate for opening a route into Gaza for humanitarian aid and evacuation. Seven British nationals have been killed and nine are missing since the attack on Israel. Foreign Secretary James Cleverly will also travel to Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar to discuss the conflict and seek a peaceful resolution.
