Samsung aims to enhance its Galaxy AI by expanding support for more languages. The company intends to introduce four new languages and two dialects by the end of the year, in addition to the existing 16 languages and a few dialects.
The Galaxy S24 series was launched with AI-powered tools for tasks such as photo editing, call transcription, document summarization, image generation, and more. These features have since been extended to various Samsung devices, including older flagships and budget-friendly phones. Samsung is now focused on increasing language support to cater to a wider audience.
Currently, Galaxy AI is compatible with 16 languages and some regional dialects. However, Samsung plans to add Turkish, Dutch, Swedish, Romanian, traditional Chinese, and Portuguese (Europe) to the language lineup by the end of the month. These new languages and dialects can be downloaded as language packs from the Settings app on supported Galaxy devices.
Along with the newly added languages, Galaxy AI already supports Arabic, Chinese (China mainland, Hong Kong), English (Australia, India, United Kingdom, United States), French (Canada, France), German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish (Mexico, Spain, United States), Thai, and Vietnamese. To download these language packs, navigate to the General management section in the Settings app on your device and choose the Language packs option. Simply tap the download button next to the desired language pack to install it.
