Tejashwi Yadav Criticizes Nitish Kumar, Refers to Him as ‘Dashrath’ and ‘Chacha’ in Bihar Assembly

Tejashwi Yadav, publicly expressed his dissatisfaction with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision to leave the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ and rejoin the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Leader, Tejashwi Yadav, publicly voiced his dissatisfaction with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision to leave the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ and rejoin the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a fiery meeting of the Bihar Legislative Assembly on Monday.

Yadav spoke passionately, expressing his disappointment with Kumar’s recent political move. He mentioned that he had always seen Nitish Kumar as a “father figure” and compared him to the character “Dashrath” from the epic ‘Ramayan.’

Yadav felt somewhat betrayed by Kumar’s latest political move, saying, “I always considered Nitish Kumar as ‘Dashrath.’ I don’t know what reasons forced him to ditch the ‘Mahagathbandhan.”

Tejashwi questioned the reasons behind Kumar’s decision, expressing confusion and frustration. He also referred to promises made by Kumar’s father regarding employment and criticized Kumar’s political shuffling. He also mentioned pressure from leaders across the country to unite in the 2024 elections and work to defeat Modi ji. Yadav emphasized his readiness to take charge in the absence of Kumar.

Yadav openly mocked his former boss, pointing out that Kumar was being sworn in “for a record ninth time, and also for the third time within a five-year term, something which has no precedent.”

“The BJP was apprehensive about the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ government in Bihar… Can Prime Minister Narendra Modi guarantee that Nitish Kumar will not change his mind again?” asked Yadav, bringing attention to the complex political situation surrounding Kumar’s decision to re-join the NDA.

Two weeks ago, Nitish Kumar unexpectedly rejoined the NDA following his time with the “Mahagathbandhan,” causing a political storm in Bihar. After maintaining silence during this time, Tejashwi Yadav took to the assembly floor to express his anger and seek answers about Kumar’s political shift.

The opposition is challenging the legitimacy and consistency of the Chief Minister’s political decisions, which is evident in the assembly debate that reflects the widening political divide and unpredictability in Bihar. Political observers and citizens are closely following the unfolding events in Bihar, which continues to be a focal point of political discourse.
