The Presence of Black Mold and a Deceased Cat

In a rare phone interview from prison, Todd Chrisley described the appalling conditions at his facility. He and other prisoners are forced to eat “filthy” unsafe food, which is more than a year past its expiration date. Chrisley detailed the threats and punishments he has faced in retaliation for speaking out about these conditions. He also shared a horrifying story about black mold, a dead cat, and prisoners getting into the food storage. According to Chrisley, the prison guards have been limiting how much of his preferred foods he can buy as an alleged effort to “break” him. He also claimed that fellow inmates who eat from the cafeteria are “literally starving these men to death.” Todd’s attorney revealed that the prison is destroying Todd’s mail and someone had taken a photograph of him while he slept. These revelations paint a disturbing picture of the conditions at the facility, which is clearly a concern that needs to be addressed.
