Salman Khan’s action drama Tiger 3 has finally hit the screens. The Maneesh Sharma directorial, also starring Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in pivotal roles, follows the events of Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Pathaan. It is a sequel to Tiger Zinda Hai and the fifth installment in the Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe. Besides Salman, Katrina and Emraan, the movie also stars Revathi, Ashutosh Rana, Riddhi Dogra, Vishal Jethwa, Kumud Mishra and Ranvir Shorey. Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan are expected to make cameo appearances in the film.

Tiger 3 is a crucial film for Salman Khan as his last few movies have failed to make an impact at the box office. Film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi believes that though Salman’s stardom won’t be affected by a flop, but an actor of his stature needs to earn well with his every film. Rathi said, “Of course, every film is important for a star of that stature and not just for him, but also for the industry in general because we only count on these sort of stars to bring in money that can allow the exhibition and distribution sector to continue rolling.”
He added, “Tiger 3 is a very important film. However, his stardom won’t get eroded with just one film because it has been built over 30 years and doesn’t get shaken by a couple of years. Even before the release of Wanted, he had a string of flops, but he came back from that. This is something we expect to happen all over again.”
