Actor Timothee Chalamet reveals that he has listened to 12 hours of unreleased Bob Dylan music as part of his preparation for portraying the iconic singer in the upcoming biopic Complete Unknown.
Chalamet, known for his roles in films like Wonka and Dune, shared that Dylan’s manager, Jeff Rosen, provided him with access to a collection of unreleased songs recorded by the Nobel laureate between 1959 and 1964.
The actor, who will be singing in the film, described the music as “gold” and expressed his gratitude for being able to listen to it. He mentioned receiving a 12-hour playlist of unreleased Bob Dylan music from Rosen, including some songs that are only available to the public through bootlegs like The Minnesota Tapes.

Complete Unknown, directed by James Mangold, will explore Dylan’s controversial shift to electric guitar in 1965, a decision that caused a rift with his original fan base.
