On Thursday, the Trinamool Congress announced that West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has suffered a major injury on her forehead and has been hospitalized. “Our chairperson Mamata Banerjee sustained a major injury. Please keep her in your prayers,” AITC tweeted.
Sources report that she was taken to the state-run SSKM Hospital in Kolkata, but details on how she got injured are still unknown. TMC’s national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, who is Mamata’s nephew, facilitated her admission to the hospital. State BJP president Sukanta Majumdar wished her a speedy recovery.
