Users are contemplating leaving Instagram due to its newest feature

With challenges like stricter privacy rules and competition from platforms like TikTok, Meta is exploring new ways to make money, including in-app purchases, subscriptions, and now, these unskippable Ad Breaks.Users have expressed frustration and confusion about the introduction of Ad Breaks on Instagram, with many taking to platforms like Reddit and Twitter to share their discontent. Some users feel that the feature disrupts their user experience and could potentially drive them away from the platform.Currently, Ad Breaks are only available to a small group of users, suggesting that Meta is testing the feature to gauge reactions and impact on ad revenue. It remains to be seen whether Ad Breaks will be rolled out to all users or if changes will be made based on feedback.Personally, I have not encountered Ad Breaks on Instagram yet, but I can understand the frustration they may cause. Unskippable ads have a tendency to negatively impact user experience, as I experienced with Facebook videos. If Ad Breaks become a permanent feature on Instagram, it may prompt me to further reduce my social media usage.
