“I am ready to prove that our leader, Chandrababu Naidu, is not involved in corruption in the Skill Development case and I accept the challenge of advisor to the Government, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy,” said TDP politburo member, Varla Ramaiah, on Thursday.
“I, as general secretary of the TDP, readily accept the challenge of Sajjala that whether anyone can prove that Mr Chandrababu is not involved in the corruption charge,” Ramaiah told media persons here and demanded Sajjala when is he coming for an open debate on this. Observing that the statement made by Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, that he is not aware of Chandrababu’s arrest as he was in London at that time is totally false, Ramaiah asked is it not a fact that Jagan through a video-conference interacted with Director General of Police (DGP), Raghurami Reddy, and the CID chief, Mr Sanjay, besides with Sajjala on the same day from London.
If Chandrababu is arrested illegally in a case where there is no evidence at all, then the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy should be in jail for how many years for cooperating with Jagan to loot Rs 43,000 cr, he asked. When there is no case against Chandrababu as per the provisions of Section 17A, where is the question of proving the case, Ramaiah asked.
Observing that Jagan is taking vicious pleasure by sending Chandrababu to jail, the TDP politburo member said that Jagan has been surviving for the past 11 years by managing the systems. If the court takes up his case, Jagan should spend his remaining life inside the jail, he remarked.
Reaffirming that he is accepting the challenge of Sajjala, the TDP politburo member said that the details of the time, date and place can be given by them. “Or, I will tell you the details of time, date and place and TDP spokesman, Kommareddy Pattabhiram will be with me” he said.
Making it clear that any number of persons can accompany Sajjala while coming for the open debate, Ramaiah said that Ministers, Ambati Rambabu or Roja or both can also come. “Let senior journalists, senior advocates be the judges,” he added.
Ramaiah felt that people are now aware that Chandrababu is sent to jail only to cover up the failures of Jagan. He made it clear that once the TDP is back in power, Jagan will be kept in the same barrack in which Chandrababu is now.
