Palakurthi MLA M Yashaswini Reddy criticized MLC K Kavitha for discussing women’s issues, calling it absurd. She pointed out that Kavitha had not shown much interest in women’s welfare during her party’s time in power and only started addressing the issue recently.
Yashaswini also accused Kavitha of using women’s issues for political advantage by reactivating Jagruthi after her party lost power. She asserted that the Congress government was already working on empowering women and Kavitha’s efforts were unnecessary.

The MLA highlighted the Congress government’s initiatives such as free bus travel for women and subsidized LPG refills priced at Rs 500. She also mentioned that several BRS party leaders had joined the Congress, including Warangal DCCB vice-chairman Kundur Venkateshwar Reddy.
The leaders officially joined the Congress in a ceremony at Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad, with AICC Telangana in-charge Deepa Das Munshi in attendance.
