- Android is expected to get the feature in the coming months.
With March Madness underway, now is the perfect time to take advantage of YouTube TV’s Multiview feature. iPhone and iPad users can now use this feature, previously exclusive to TVs. However, Android users will have to wait for access.
First reported by 9to5Google, some iPhone users have reported the availability of the Multiview feature. Google has confirmed that the feature is now available on iOS devices.
Multiview allows YouTube TV subscribers to watch up to four channels simultaneously with preset channel options. The feature now offers more customization for certain cases.
To use Multiview on mobile Apple devices, users need to update the YouTube TV app to version 8.11. While the feature is live on iOS, it may take some time to appear for all users. Google indicates that if the feature is not visible yet, users should expect it in the coming weeks.
For Android users, the arrival of Multiview is anticipated in the coming months. The feature is not available for Android currently.
To access the feature on TVs or iOS devices, navigate to the Home tab where you will find multiview stream options in “Top Picks for You” or “Watch in multiview” rows. You may also be prompted to watch in Multiview when selecting a live game.
