Member of the Andhra Pradesh Food Commission, B. Kantharao Yadav, called upon Chief Minister and YSRCP State president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday to assign the Vizianagaram Assembly seat to the Yadava community, given its significant population in the district headquarters and other areas. During a media conference, he expressed his willingness to contest from the seat if it was bestowed upon him. Mr. Kantha Rao, also the president of KR Helping Hands Charitable Trust, highlighted the lack of political recognition for the Yadava community in Vizianagaram district politics over the past five decades.
